Rock rocks Roodepoort
The Joburg Promusica Theatre may best be known for opera and classical music but, this July, it extends its diverse range. Stand by for a week’s season of hard rock and metal bands that’s guaranteed to blow every cobweb out of every corner of the Main Theatre.
The magic figure is five, as five different bands - over each of five nights - deliver the raunchiest, roughest rock that’s ever been assembled under one South African roof. That’s 25 bands in all, fighting for your ear-space! “Burn bright and die young” is the motto of the rocking fraternity, and that’s exactly what this festival will do in five adrenaline-filled nights, from July 5th to the 10th. So be sure not to miss one nasty, noisy moment of it.

The Hard Rock & Metal Festival takes place in Joburg Promusica’s Main Theatre from July 5 to 10 inclusive, and tickets are R100 or R50 for card-carrying students.

The Joburg Promusica theatre complex, situated within the Civic Centre at Florida Park, Roodepoort, offers ample free parking for patrons.
