Robber shot dead in Ruimsig house
A critically injured Ruimsig man who had been attacked by two robbers shot one of them dead in his house on Thursday, ER24 said.
Spokesman Werner Vermaak said paramedics called to the house in Ruimsig, Johannesburg found a man in his 30s shot dead in the kitchen.
The house owner was found with multiple shot wounds to the face, upper and lower body.
Vermaak said he was in a critical condition in hospital.
His brother told paramedics that his sibling had been overpowered by robbers in his house.
They shot him but he managed to get hold of his firearm and shot one of the robbers dead.
The second robber ran away.
