Biker killed in truck smash
A motorcyclist was killed when he collided with a truck west of Johannesburg on Friday afternoon, paramedics said.
The truck, going towards Roodepoort on Hendrik Potgieter road, had made a u-turn and was blocking the oncoming lane near Featherbrook Estate, ER24 spokesman Werner Vermaak said.
The 34-year-old biker, going in the direction opposite to the truck slammed into the front of the vehicle around 5.30pm. Paramedics found him wedged under the truck's wheels with multiple injuries to his head and body.
