Faulty plugs recalled
28 October 2008
702 Eyewitness News reports that consumers have been advised to contact the manufacturer of snapper adaptors and multi-plugs for more information about the recall of faulty units.
Snapper products with the Clipsal logo have been pulled off the shelves because they pose a fire hazard, these include snapper 2, 3 and 31 adaptors that were bought between October 2007 and January this year.
Other adaptors made from the same material have also been recalled as a precautionary measure.
The National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications' Sizwe Radebe says, “We have since identified other products besides these and they have also been recalled.”
